As Prism is an online system, it allows you to access it anywhere at anytime, however it also means it is sometimes at the mercy of the network online or via your mobile. For the most part, networks are fine and result in 99% uptime, however wifi can in particularly be patchy, particularly in rural areas.
You may on occasion witness a blank drop down, server error notification or slowness to load, which is a sign that there is a network issue.
For these issues you can refresh the page, click out and back in to try and rectify the situation. Alternatively, you can wait for a stronger network connection, move to a different location or as a final resort, close/restart the app, browser or phone.
If you are still having problems, please email us at support@prism.horse.
Media files generally take a lot longer to upload, which is why they can be susceptible to network drop outs or patchy wifi.
As with above, these issues are network related with the only solution being refreshing the page or clicking out and back in to try and rectify the situation. Alternatively, you can wait for a stronger network connection, move to a different location or as a final resort, close/restart the app, browser or phone.
Where the recording has been taken on your phone, you can still access the file via the Prism library when you seek to upload the file again, so it isn't lost.
Prism gets a Daily Rego File from Racing Australia at 9am every day where it updates all horse movements, changes and transfer of ownership.
This can take a few days after the Stable Return and will vary each day.
If you need to add the horse straight away, please email support@prism.horse and we will be able to do this switch manually.
To be safe, we start taking clear days from the following day, so if you give the horse a treatment on the 1st and it has a clear day buffer of 3 days, Prism counts the 2nd, 3rd and 4th as clear days, so can run on the 5th.
Please note this is a guide only and you are responsible for presenting your horse clear on Race Day, however this is the method to the alert.
All users are able to manage how they receive notifications through the Notification tab under your profile section, turning on/off the items they want to be informed about across mobile, website and email.
After logging in, click on the green button with a "+" symbol at the lower right of your screen. You can send different kinds of updates to your owners:
- Pre-race reports
- Post-race reports

Prism has a detailed email log that will let you see whether your email was delivered and if the message was opened or not. If the email was not delivered, the log will also indicate why the message was not delivered.
Email is one an extremely temperamental form of communication with many different variables at play, however Prism through it's partner Postmark, provides the industry's fastest and most reliable email delivery with average inbox rate of 100%.
If there is an issue with Owners receiving emails, you can check via the Email Log under the Reports module in the Prism Portal.
Prism's email log is an important reporting tool to help you manage your owner communications and see which Owners are receiving and opening your communications.
It also allows you to see who has unsubscribed or is having issues with their emails.
Status Key:
- Opened - the email has been opened by the recipient
- Delivered - the email has been delivered to the client's email but is yet to be viewed
- Processed - the email has been processed by Prism but yet to reach the Recipient
- Not Sent - there is an issue with the email address and can't be sent (i.e., incorrect email)
- Bounced - there is an issue with the email address and email has bounced (i.e., over mail limit quota)
- Unsubscribed - the email user has unsubscribed from your emails
For email status of Not Sent, Bounced or Unsubscribed, please email support@prism.horse to assist in reactivating those emails.
If the Status is Processed on an old email or if an Owner is claiming they are not receiving an email despite the Status being Delivered, it means that there may be an issue on the Owners Email Server and we will need to liaise with their IT Manager. Please email support@prism.horse if this is the case and we will follow up.
Finally, please ensure the Owners are in the Horse and have the right permissions checked to receive media - ie., Media, Reports, Noms etc. If they aren't on, click them on and save and they will then start receiving future correspondence for that horse.
Currently this feature is not supported by Prism. If you wish to add an owner that unsubscribed back into your mailing list, please email support@prism.horse and we will do it for you.
